Financial Support for Genesis Community of Transformation (GCT)

Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

Especially as my financial need has nearly been met, I would like to make you aware of another opportunity for financial and prayer support.

The Genesis Community of Transformation (GCT) is one of the non-profit organizations I will be working with in Cambodia. GCT is a relatively new organization, founded in 2009 by Ms. Navy Chann, a Cambodian national who had previously worked as Christian Reformed World Relief Committee's Country Director for Cambodia. GCT seeks to provide job training for Cambodian women and youth, as well as create jobs for them. Beyond this, GCT reaches out to villages through community development. They are also developing a new farm and hoping to train village farmers in effective and sustainable agricultural techniques.

For the past two years, three-fourths of GCT's funding has come from one contract to train and coach the employees of another organization. This contract will end in 2012. Please be praying for GCT as they are seeking new donors, partnerships, and other ways of continuing their service to the people of Cambodia.
